About me
I am a certified insurance professional based in Dhaka, Bangladesh with a rich experience of over 24 years in insurance (Life & Non-Life).
First female ACII(UK) in Bangladesh & Awarded Senior CIP Member of ANZIIF
I am a seasoned insurance professional with an illustrious 24-year career in the industry. My educational journey has been rich, encompassing a Masters in Management and M.ED from Dhaka University, along with prestigious accolades such as the ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute) from The Chartered Insurance Institute of London, and memberships in esteemed insurance institutes like AMII (Associate Member of the Malaysian Insurance Institute) and Senior Associate from The Australia and New Zealand Insurance Institute. Additionally, I hold an M. Phil in Life Insurance from IBA, Dhaka University, and I am currently pursuing a Doctoral Program in Health Insurance at Birla Global University in Bhubaneswar, India.
Professionally, I have served
as an Honorary Director on the Board of Jiban Bima Corporation, appointed by
the Ministry of Finance, where I contributed significantly for three years.
Presently, I hold the esteemed position of Deputy Managing Director at Pragati
Insurance Limited, where I spearhead the Non-Traditional and Health Insurance
business domains. My expertise extends across various insurance realms, ranging
from Microinsurance to Crop, Livestock, Fisheries, and Health Insurance.
Throughout my career, I have
been deeply engaged in pioneering initiatives, including leading a three-year
pilot project on Crop Insurance as a Team Leader. Moreover, my involvement in
diverse projects, such as Livestock Insurance, Fisheries Insurance, and Health
Insurance projects, has enriched my understanding and proficiency in the field.
Beyond my professional
endeavors, I am committed to nurturing the next generation of insurance
professionals. As such, I share my knowledge and insights through lecturing
engagements at Dhaka University and other academic institutions, focusing on
topics spanning Life Insurance, Non-Life Insurance, and Microinsurance.
In essence, my journey
embodies a relentless pursuit of excellence in the insurance domain, blending
academic rigor with practical experience to drive innovation and growth within
the industry.
